I was always looking forward to traveling north. There was a wish for years and eventually, this wish came true. I have been working in Rawalpindi for a long time. In Pakistan, when the plains are in the grip of summer, the high snow-capped peaks and sky kissing mountains of the northern areas invite us. At the invitation of the giant mountains of the Himalayas and the Karakoram, we, the gang of ten frenzied heads, responded by taking ten days to leave from office and have arranged a long trip to the Northern Areas of Pakistan. It was a ten days trip and we have touched below points: 1- Mansehra City: The city of Mansehra is the gateway to the northern areas. From here, if you go straight to Hazara Motorway or Karakoram Highway, then Shaniyakari, Buttal, Batgram, Thakot. Besham, Pattan, Dasu, and Chilas can be reached. But if you want to reach Chilas via Naran Kagan Batta Kundi and Babu Sar, you have to turn east and cross Balakot. 2- #Kaghan Valley: It is a very beautiful and attractive tourists spot in the Mansehra district. The area is covered with forests and meadows and the beautiful scenery makes it a paradise on earth. There are also peaks up to 17,000 feet high. Among them are Makra Choti and Malika Parbat. This valley of mountains, streams, lakes, waterfalls, springs, and glaciers awaits tourists in summer (May to September). 3- #Naran : Naran is famous for its Lake Saif Ul Malook. If you want to visit Lake Saif al-Muluk, remember Naran. The upside road from the subway franchise in Naran Bazaar leads directly to the lake. You can hire a jeep to reach Saif Ul Malook which is around 12-15 km away.: 4- #Batakundi: Surrounded by lush green mountains, the tiny town is called Batakundi, it took almost thirty minutes from Naran. We have stayed a night here and it was an amazing experience. 5- #Astore : Without any doubt, Astore is the greenest and unique district in Northern Areas, among the snow-capped peaks of Himalaya. We have visited Rama Meadows and Lake. The rainy seasons and cool breezes were lifelong unique memories for us. 6- #Skardu : Skardu is situated between the lofty mountains of Himalaya and Karakorum. The up shape Skardu valley is famous for its vastness, barren mountain, and wild beauty. You can visit Shigar, Khaplu, Manthoka waterfall, Sadpara Lake, Shangrila Lake, Deosai plain, and Cold desert. 7- #Shigar : Shigar is a gateway to K-2 and the other highest peaks in the Karakoram range. Shigar palace is considered one of the finest pieces of art and culture. Never miss visiting Blink lake, though we have missed it. We have visited #Deosai plains, #Cold_Desert, #Rama_Lake, and world-famous #Shangrila resort as well.
