adding an asian twist on the classic italian tiramisu with kinako 🥛 for more info click below 🥛 hi everyone 💖 kinako (roasted soy bean), is one of my favourite flavours so i wanted to try using it in tiramisu to add a nutty flavour to the typical coffee version. give this recipe a try if you want something a little different. you can even enjoy the lady fingers on its own as a snack. ingredients (~2 squares / ~4 servings per square) kinako lady fingers 2 egg yolks + 25g sugar (2 tbsp) 2 egg whites + 25g sugar (2 tbsp) 50g cake flour (⅓ cup + 1 ½ tbsp) 25g kinako powder (1 ½ tbsp + ½ tsp) kinako cream 2 egg yolks 30g sugar (2 tbsp + 1 tsp) 250g mascarpone cheese (1 cup + 1 ½ tbsp) 100g whipping cream (⅓ cup + 1 ½ tbsp) 30g kinako powder (2 tbsp) 100ml coffee syrup (water, instant coffee & sugar - adjust amount to your liking) directions kinako lady fingers 1. preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). line a baking sheet with parchment paper. 2. separate 2 eggs into yolks and whites, save the whites for later. 3. add 25g sugar into the yolks and whisk until it becomes a pale yellow colour. 4. in another bowl, make a meringue by beating the egg whites from step 2 into a frothy texture. then add 25g sugar and beat until stiff peaks. 5. add half of the meringue into the egg yolk mixture and fold until combined. 6. add the rest of the meringue and gently fold it in. 7. sift cake flour and kinako powder and gently fold until combined. 8. place the batter into a piping bag and pipe out lady fingers onto the baking sheet. bake for 8 minutes or until golden brown. kinako cream 1. beat egg yolks and sugar in a bowl over hot water until it becomes thick and pale yellow in colour. 2. remove the bowl from the water, add mascarpone cheese and mix until combined. 3. in a separate bowl add whipping cream and kinako powder and whip together. 4. add kinako whip cream to mascarpone mixture and fold until combined. build the tiramisu (optional: sprinkle kinako powder and icing sugar) and enjoy! :~) macronutrients (per serving) calories: 254 carbs: 18.5g fat: 17.4g protein: 7.3g 🥛 instagram: @milk.atelier 🥛 shot with a sony a6500 & lots of love 💖 song: biscuit (prod. by lukrembo) / • (no copyright music) lofi type beat “biscu...
