I'm so stoked about owning a very small chunk of small town history. Us southerners were known for being hardworkers & taking pride in our work, so, Mill villages took North Carolina by storm in the early 1900s, with over 30 of them popping up right after Railroads were built. Most of my info and pictures came from the book "Weaving the Heart Threads of a Mill Village: Rhodhiss, North Carolina", by Sherrie Hartsoe Sigmon. If you're as fascinated as me, you'll love this book.
