CHESTERTOWN -- Soon-to-be manufacturers of medicinal marijuana opened their facility for one last time to the public "before production begins. "I know this looks like a big construction job, but every weeks it changes," explained Hillary Peckham, COO of Etain, LLC., one company granted a license to produce medicinal pot. Etain will grow and process medicinal marijuana at the secure facility--doling it out in capsules, tinctures, an oral spray, and a vaporizer. "New York tried to set a standard for regulation to make this as pharmaceutical as possible," Peckham said. Staffers are confident they'll be ready to dispense their product by January. Etain will have dispensaries in Albany, Kingston, Syracuse and Yonkers. Despite the construction and strict schedule, staffers tell CBS6 there's still quite a bit of uncertainty where the state is concerned. Workers tell us prices haven't been set yet. Doctors aren't yet allowed to take mandatory training, and patients can't register. "There's a little bit of a concern," said Dr. Kevin King, the company's dispensary director. "I'm a little nervous that once we open there won't be a lot of patients, but we've been planning for that, and have factored that into our birth and our plans."
