Throwback: Miami Summer Nights 2023

This is a compilation of clips I recorded over the summer of 2023 (June 8th - September 18th), primarily at night and around sunset and sunrise. That long, hot summer was MDT's last before the disastrous Better Bus Network route redesign took effect, upending the entire bus system and the lives of the passengers and front-line workers affected. During this summer, the conventional wisdom was that the 11 remaining 1st Generation NABI 40LFW coaches (05128 and the ten 06100s) would be retired upon the (un)BBN taking effect that November. That didn't happen, due in part to the failing Proterra ZX-5 fleet, and in fact at the time of this upload in April 2025, all 11 coaches remain in service, with 06141 surviving a failed engine recently. The Classic 11 are well represented in these clips, with plenty of other buses plus Metrorail to be seen. I also included some scenery and weather clips to fill this out. Enjoy!!
