Work hands-on with faculty and researchers in class and in state-of-the-art clinics. 2. Conduct research projects and work with patient populations ranging from infants to the elderly. 3. Provide clinical services to people throughout central and northern Michigan through the Carls Center for Clinical Care and Education. 4. Collaborate with the Michigan Ear Institute to observe live middle ear and cochlear implant surgeries, review pre-recorded surgeries in 3D with a surgeon, view under the microscope anatomy of the ear in a temporal bone lab, and engage inserting a cochlear implant in an ear model. 5. Collaborate with local Commission on Aging offices to provide student-lead no-cost hearing aid cleaning clinics for the community. 6.
