Mindset in poker is everything! You can have all of the poker talent in the world, if you don't have a strong mindset and mentality, you will never make it in this game! In this video I break down the 3 biggest mindset leaks to avoid so that you can always play your A-game. Poker is a brutal game. Even the best players in the world face soul crushing sessions but they don't allow it to affect their game. So how should you deal with frustrating results? And how are you supposed to continue playing your best when you have been card dead all night? This video aims to answer both of these questions and more, so make sure to stick around until the end! Mindset Leak Number 1 - Caring About Bad Beats Running AA into J4o and losing can feel devastating, however, you SHOULD lose that spot 12.46% of the time, or roughly 1:8 times. You are not entitled to 100% of the pot simply because you were ahead. Instead of getting frustrated when you lose, consider that you STEAL 12.46% more than you're entitled to when you win. Mindset Leak Number 2 - Caring About Being Card Dead At a full table, you may only want to play 20% of the hands you are dealt. Sometimes you will simply not get dealt many of those hands! It can be especially frustrating in tournaments where the blinds increase, however, it is important not to allow your frustration to cause you to play desperately, either by over-playing a hand that you are able to play, or choosing to continue with a hand that you should fold! Mindset Leak Number 3 - Caring About Short Term Results Many players hate the idea of being "down". Remember that daily/weekly results do not matter in the grand scheme of things and that your goal should always be to make as much money as possible by playing each spot as well as possible! #jonathanlittle #pokerstrategy #pokermindset
