The High Road, a long winding trade road that starts at Waterdeep in the south and stretches up all the way to Luskan near the Spine of the World. The High Road passes by the ever growing Mere of Dead Men which constantly attempts to swallow the trade route. As the road winds north it passes by the Sword Mountains before going into the town of Leilon.From there it is a 100 mile stretch to the city of Neverwinter and slightly less than that to get to Luskan. It often takes travelers around 23 days to travel the entire length of the High Road from Waterdeep to Luskan but the would-be traveler must be very careful of the dangers along the way. The most common is the threat of Will-o-Wisps that roam the Mere of Dead Men amongst other various undead. To reduce the risk many travelers trek through the night for 3 days straight to avoid camping near the Mere. The ancient Dracolitch Daurgothoth watches all activity on the High road near Waterdeep from this lair just to the north. Can your party make this dangerous trek along the High Road?
