RBI Repo Rate Cut // 12000 Police Jobs in Odisha 2025

Good news for loan borrowers! In a recent policy review on April 9, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has reduced the repo rate by 25 basis points to 6%. This move by RBI’s six-member Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) is likely to bring down interest rates on home loans, personal loans, vehicle loans, and even deposit rates in the coming days. The Odisha Chief Minister has made a big announcement regarding police recruitment in the state. Addressing a press conference, he said that the government is taking major steps to fill the long-pending vacancies in the police department and other allied services. He mentioned that the previous government was unable to fill several key positions in the police force and the Home Department. But after coming to power, the current government has decided to fast-track the recruitment process. As per the CM, nearly 12,000 posts will be filled soon. These include 3,003 posts in the Odisha Special Striking Force (OSSF), 3,000 in the Odisha Industrial Security Force (OISF), 2,000 in the Traffic Police, 5,000 Home Guard positions, 267 posts in the Prosecution Cadre, 254 posts in Forensic Services, along with several other vacancies.
