Guild Wars Beyond, Winds of Change: When Kappa Attack [Hard Mode Only] HM quest Playlist: • Guild Wars: Hard mode only quests Hint: While the quest 'Cleansing the Undercity' is active Initiate Zei Ri will accompany your team. Navigation: 00:15 1st defense point. 06:55 2nd defense point. 11:30 3rd defense point. 18:50 Bosses. ►Builds used in this video I'm currently arguing in favour of playing heroic refrain without "they're on fire!" (even though this team coincidentally does provide burning, but that's beside the point) as it is very easy to maintain heroic refrain by simply clicking "there's nothing to fear!" and "stand your ground!" simultaneously. As a backup to my claims I wanted to have tested it in actual gameplay, so I went and made my probably first heroic refrain hero team build. At least I can't remember there was one before. Psychic instability at 20 fast casting causes a 5 seconds knock down at a 5 seconds recharge. Just for fun I brought three of these. Heroes are stupid and I want that things get knocked down, so I don't mind the overkill. This nigh-unsurpassable shutdown gets accompanied by chaos storms, fire storms and all sorts of stuff that causes scattering, because people always say that's bad while it actually isn't. You just need to manage scattering (tight maps, knock downs, snares) and it plays out in your favour, as foes will not do anything while futilely trying to run away when they can't. They also deal acceptable damage. As my testing area I chose When Kappa Attack HM, which I now regret. I used to respect this quest, but with HR I've now accidentally done it first try after not playing it for a very long time, on the first test of a hero team build, without major preparation, micro management or the special positioning I used to use in spot 2 to manage incoming area damage. This elite kind of takes the fun out of hero gameplay. Almost as bad as a conset. Note on the player build: This run confirmes my claim that it is very easy to maintain heroic refrain without "they're on fire!"; it could well be more comfortable this way, as you only need to use shouts for a renewal every 20 rather than 10 seconds. I ran three superior attribute runes because I didn't bother changing my equipment. Instead of the superior spear mastery and command, one could run major runes. Or one could simply drop all points from spear mastery (it's not doing that much, right?) and play 12+1+3 leadership, 10+1 command and 8 tactics without losing anything. That'd give a much more comfortable health pool on the player, which is probably more reasonable when playing without a prot. (And yes: If you play paragon, you can definitely drop your prot in most areas.)
