We visit Chester-le-Street for an afternoon of trainspotting in the glorious sunshine. It turned out to be a Class 66 festival with 7 of those trains passing whilst we were there. We also saw lots of Trans Pennine Express trains stopping at the station as well as Lumos, Azumas and Cross Country trains speeding by. One of the best things about Chester-le-Street is that it is really close to Grandad's house. We went to see him and the dogs (as well as a toilet break) before they came back to the station with us for some more railway fun. Once again, Daddy has spotted a lot of freight whilst at work so we've included them at the end of the video. This time, all the freight spotted were at Carlisle, in a one hour window, on 11th April. After seeing some older boys creating videos of trains at our local station, we were inspired to give it a go ourselves. Our main aim is to have fun spending quality father/son time together whilst creating videos of interesting trains at lots of different stations, waving at the drivers to show how much we appreciate them. Sometimes they wave back, sometimes they blast the horn and other times, they're busy doing their important job. Daddy records whilst Tommy stays in front of the camera. We have lots of fun but SAFETY is always our priority. We'd love to hear your feedback and any suggestions of interesting places to visit for my next video. Cut 🙂
