While the chance to legalize cannabis is on the C.A. ballot Nov 2, 2010 under Prop 19 there is resistance to it from some people I was surprised aren't supporting it! The "Old Guard" or people that have grown up exposed to all the negative propaganda and lies from our government and press, OK I can accept their mind is made up. But resistance from those who use it as medicine? The MMJ or Medical Marijuana Community, Co-Op Owners, Growers - Especially in the Northern part of the State in the "Emerald Triangle." Some poeple are getting rich fast with things the way they are right now, but the discretion and interpretation of the law is in the hands of police who ARE STILL ARRESTING CARD CARRYING PATIENTS and are teaming up with Federal DEA agents and ARE RAIDING AND ARRESTING OWNERS OF LICENSED BUSINESSES!!! Even with Prop 215 & SB 420 we are in a GREY area of the law!!! LET US GIVE FULL LEGAL PROTECTION to those who chose to include this plant in their life!!! PLEASE VOTE YES ON 19 NOVEMBER 2, 2010 in C.A. IT IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO! Let the police go after violent criminals and those who impact our society in a negative and dangerous way. Open up jail cells for those who need to be removed from society, stop wasting tax money (housing a prisoner, molesters, killers, and cannabis users cost well over $35,000 per year per person); because of this we have overcrowded prisons and let dangerous criminals out early. With prohibition - that clearly doesn't work (16 million+ used cannabis last month in the US alone) we break up families, people lose their jobs, and the safety of the public is at jeopardy due to misuse of resources chasing a plant God made! We must stop wars on "things" we cannot stop or kill, terror or drugs are inanimate objects. So why did we declare a "War on Drugs" when prohibition of alcohol created a spike in organized crime and wonder why we today have a gang violence problem? Don't we learn from our mistakes? We can't legislate peoples behavior, we can only work to minimize any negative impact they may have on others.
