Stinky Tofu – 臭豆腐 📘 Textbook: "Hello, I want a small portion, no cilantro." 🗣️ LOCAL: "One stinky tofu, less cilantro." Lái fèn chòudòufu, xiāngcài shǎo fàng diǎn. → No "hello." No "I want." Just "Lái…" (Give me…). 2. Chinese Burger – 肉夹馍 📘 Textbook: "I want one with both fatty and lean meat." 🗣️ LOCAL: "One burger, mix fat and lean." Lái gè ròujiāmó, féishòu de. → One word: féishòu. Hot & Sour Noodles – 酸辣粉 📘 Textbook: "One bowl, put a little more vinegar." 🗣️ LOCAL: "One bowl, LOAD it with vinegar!" Suānlàfěn yī wǎn, cù gěi wǒ shǐjìn fàng! → Shǐjìn fàng = go crazy, put a ton.
