Imagine medicine that empowers your body to heal itself. mRNA technology could make this a reality, revolutionizing cancer treatment, gene therapy, and rare disease care. A major challenge is scaling up safe, effective mRNA production. Current methods are inefficient, limiting access. By using genetic engineering, we can turn living cells into natural "factories" for mRNA. This talk explores how cell-based mRNA production could enable personalized medicine and strengthen global biosecurity, ensuring faster responses to future health threats. Join us to discover how mRNA and living cells can transform healthcare for all. Miroslav Gasparek is the CEO and co-founder of Sensible Biotechnologies, a biotech start-up developing innovative mRNA production technologies. He holds a degree in biomedical engineering, conducting research in systems and synthetic biology at laboratories of prestigious international universities such as Stanford University in California. He is currently pursuing a PhD in engineering at Oxford University. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
