Palghar mob lynching case: Three people were brutally thrashed by a mob in Palghar district of Maharashtra. They were dragged out of their car, beaten and lynched. The two Sadhus were linked to Gunah Akhada and they were attacked along with their driver as they were travelling from Mumbai to Surat. They were stopped and dragged down by the locals on suspicions of being thieves. The opposition parties raised issues, saying that there had been incidents of several such violent attacks taking place in the state of Maharashtra.
