Presented By: Ralf Schäfer Speaker Biography: Ralf Schaefer started his career at Bruker in 1989 as Technical Assistant in the R&D department, in the area of Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometry. He was involved in the development of the first commercially available MALDI-TOF instruments and moved into Service and Customer support in the following years, dedicated to installations, service, and application support of the Bruker MALDI-TOF systems globally. Webinar: sirius Launches on MALDI Biotyper® and More Webinar Abstract: Bruker proudly introduces the latest member of the MALDI Biotyper® product family, the MALDI Biotyper sirius one. Bruker‘s newest sirius system unites new features with appreciated existing elements, including the user-friendly high capacity vacuum system valued by users of the MALDI Biotyper smart and the powerful 200 Hz smartbeam™ lifetime laser. Electronic developments render the MALDI Biotyper sirius one more energy-efficient than its predecessors. Based on the successful MBT sirius technology platform, the MALDI Biotyper sirius one system is providing the ONE ion mode solution for various microbiology applications. The positive-only ion mode perfectly allows the identification of microorganisms like gram-positive bacteria including mycobacteria, gram-negatives, yeasts and filamentous fungi, and supports the detection of beta-lactamase activity. The MALDI Biotyper sirius one system is available as an IVD (in-vitro diagnostic), GP (General Purpose) or RUO (Research Use Only) version, fitting seamlessly into the solution portfolio serving various market areas such as clinical microbiology, pharmaceutical microbiology, and veterinary, environmental or research laboratories. New features and benefits will be illustrated with examples of the various application areas. An additional outlook of upcoming new software features and library extensions complements the presentation. Earn PACE Credits: 1.
