This Chevy Cobalt not come with a key FOB when bought so figure lets get one. Pick one up at AutoZone for about 70 buck. Folks at dealer said it had remote start option but they didn't seam to sure about it. So get FOB with remote start option just incase. If you want to program a new key fob for your cobalt then THIS IS THE BEST VIDEO for you! Kit come with 1 FOB a program device that plug into OBDII port and instructions. This kit work on multiple types of cars so need check instructions for which dial position to use. Basic idea being, plug in the device to the OBDII port, key on vehicle (not running) once you hear a tone from device then press the lock and unlock at the same time. The first position it no work for this car, so try second position. notice that there no chime, or beep or anything signaling you when it program. Mongo no like this. most other vehicles signal you in some way that programing is complete. But it did program, lock and unlock work. No remote start or truck action though, so that not good.
