Bob Moses, Gary Burton's drummer for much of the 1960s and 70s, put out three great albums under his own name in the 1980s on the Gramavision label, When Elephants Dream of Music (1983), Visit with the Great Spirit (1984) and The Story of Moses (1987), featuring a number of great musicians including Bill Frisell, Pat Metheny, John Scofield, Steve Swallow, Lyle Mays, Dave Liebman. This is a radio broadcast of a live performance of his band from that period at the Village Gate in Greenwich Village. The three tunes consist of a track from Meeting With The Great Spirit (Monktional) bookended by two tunes from The Story of Moses, and album that wouldn't be released for three more years.
