Welcome to my review of the DX Auto Blaster [オートブラスター] from Gekisou Sentai Carranger [激走戦隊カーレンジャー]! The Auto Blaster is the sidearm for Carranger. It is a cleverly designed gun that resembles a Ferrari-esque sports car. When the 'spoiler' is pulled on the gun, it expands and becomes the Auto Punisher [オートブラスター]. Later on in the series it can hook on to the Navick Shot [ナビックショット] to become the Navick Blaster [ナビックブラスター]. The Auto Blaster set comes with a Belt, Buckle, and holster. Since the buckle isn't specific to any Carranger, you can play as your favorite Carranger. As a fan of weapons, smart designs, and automobiles this set is right up my alley. I think that this is one of the best designed sidearms in Sentai history. I love the fact that it is so over-the-top, yet functional. If I had to pick one negative thing about the Auto Blaster it would have to be the second button. It would be much cooler if it would transform into the Auto Punisher just by pulling the spoiler. Having to hit the second button to expand the front is just a little bit lame. This toy was released in America for Power Rangers Turbo as the Auto Blaster. It was sold in a set along with the Turbo Blade, which is the American name for the Viblade [バイブレード], and a holster. Combining the Gun and Sword into a single set is one of those rare instances where Bandai America was being overly generous. There was a price, however. While a holster was included, the buckle and belt are not to be found in this set.
