From the vibrant streets of Garissa Town to the peaceful banks of the Tana River, this adventure uncovers the authentic beauty and culture of Kenya’s eastern frontier. After arriving in Garissa town, I decided to explore a bit and made my way to the Garissa Giraffe Center. In this conservation haven, these graceful giants roam freely and take in the breathtaking Tana River landscapes — a lifeline that cuts through the arid plains, bringing life to everything around it. Along the way, we explore local markets, meet friendly residents, and experience the warmth and resilience that define this region. I then proceeded to Tana River, where I met friendly locals who guided me safely to the banks of the river, where I enjoyed a beautiful Sunset.
