Clicker Conditioning! 🐾 When training with a clicker it’s super important to clicker condition your dog so they understand what the clicker means. I use the clicker to mean “good job, keep doing what you’re doing, here’s a reward” 🐾 To clicker condition your dog you just click and give them a treat. You want to do that over and over. After a while you can toss a piece of food away from you then click. Does your dog run back to you for a treat after hearing the click? If so they’re catching on! 🐾 You’ll know your dog is clicker conditioned when you can click and they immediately look to you for their food reward. I always give a food reward when I click because I want to clicker to have a lot of value when I’m using it for trick training! 🐾 I hope this video helps, let me know fun y’all have any questions.
