Yes, we are all in this 'Growth project' for different reasons, and every once in a while, it's important to take a pause, clear our heads and remember what that (once) was. Fame, money, work satisfaction, a pathological passion to disrupt the status quo, a genuine need to help others out, the sheer rush of adrenalin - it is our big purpose that, at the end of the day, decides the route we must take. To climb our own personal summits of Growth. So figure it out your calling. Your strategy, your speed, you style - everything is a function of that calling. When you follow it - and give it all you got - the rest of everything else quietly falls into place. Expectations, benchmarks and buzzwords, strangely, cease to overwhelm. Because when you're loving it, you're living it. In other words, when you're 'in the zone' (your 'Growth Zone', that is), you're good. But that's an ideal scenario not easily attained in the course of a working quarter, or calendar. A multitude of centrifugal forces are forever distracting us from that chosen trajectory. Negotiating them, taming them and, over time, gaining mastery over them, then, is the real challenge of Growth. Something that is achieved as much by the aid of external variables such as skill, capital and resources, as by getting on top of 'internal conditions' like passion, poise and phlegmatism. And now, the secret sauce. Remember, things don't work unless you DO. Which is why, when it comes to Growth, execution is the key. Indeed, it's time to relook the word itself in a new light, with a new sound - GROWTHE. The 'E' at the end is, you guessed it, execution. Done right, it makes Growthe the sweetest word you've ever heard. In business, or in life. So go ahead and be the best executor the world has ever seen. Don't get overwhelmed by the proposition - execution is more about common sense and guts than anything else - certainly not fancy degrees and money. It's cool, it's simple, but not easy. So be ready to dive into the action heart-first. Get your shoes & tie dirty. Thinking on your feet. Connecting dots creatively. Re-working the grammar of the game - ethically. And keeping in mind that the only thing you need to do, is whatever it takes. Which is exactly what makes Growthe a heady sport. An extreme one, even. One you remember for its unforgettable moments - whether they bring happiness or hurt. A sport where you score irrespective of the score.
