There is a script online which I use as a basis, but I change the exact wording to incorporate different types of movement and different things that the painters are painting at the beginning. Although it didn't work well here, I use different pieces to represent the painters and the elves. My favorite elf pieces are "The Ball" and "The Top" from Bizet's Jeux d'enfants. I use "Morning" by Grieg for when the painters wake up the next morning, and the waltz from Swan Lake for the beginning. I do this with K-2, and my kindergarteners request it almost every class.
