A compilation of the various ways Miles and Olivia can meet a terrible end on Velvet Island. Miles goes to the island in hopes of news about his missing daughter and Olivia goes for secret agent stuff and then everything goes to hell with zombies and other eldritch abominations. It's a pretty solid pixel art Resident Evil sort of game. It also feels comparable to Lamentum although this focuses less on melee as your knife is really only useful against basic zombies. There are a few nicely done moments of enemies crashing through windows or other spots to make your day worse (even if you kind of anticipate the window breaking). Pretty good assortment of deaths too. It took about 7 hours to finish the game on hard. That being said, there's a few criticisms to be had. The sanity mechanic is neat on paper (certain effects will screw with your interface) but antipsychotics are super plentiful so reaching critically low sanity requires intentionally not using them. There's only the knife, handgun, and shotgun to use as weapons and the shotgun really gets saved for bosses or big enemies that are too fast to bring down with the handgun (especially the big guys that will bite your head off for a OHKO). Antivenom and bandages don't stack and are a bit clunky to carry around with limited inventory (8 slots) to remove a status effect you might get from enemies if they're able to hit you. I'm not sure if Miles can encounter a creeper to die to it (probably can if you can get them to backtrack to the cistern).
