This is the second video about the 7.3L godzilla engine from Ford. I figured you guys would also want me to take this truck on the road and test out the engine in the real world. the first thing that caught my attention is the sound of the engine. both the ram 6.4 Hemi and the Chevy 6.6l v8's sound pretty mellow with their factory exhaust on. the 7.3L has a bit more punch and snappy sound which I really like. on the road this 7.3L v8 has plenty of power and the torque is amazing. you forget the beauty of a naturally asperated v8 of that size is capable of delivering great amounts of torque without any turbo lag. The second thing that caught me by surprise was the engines acceleration. this f250 with the 7.3L gas engine is a pretty quick truck and with those tall 4.30 gears this truck feels very quick. it is without a doubt the fastest HD gas engine on the market right now. In terms of ride comfort. the engine is very well balanced and has almost zero vibrations as any rpm range which is nice to see given that the engine is this large. The fuel economy for this 7.3L f250 gas engine is as you would expect - not good.
