My Haunted Diary episode with paranormal explorer James Edward Garcia in Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee exploring an old haunted Hotel that has been featured on Paranormal State & the Ghost Hunters tv reality shows. It was named Red Boiling Springs in the mid 1800’s due to the movement of the water, not the temperature. In the 1900s, word of the mineral waters medicinal benefits had spread, and many visitors came to the town for lengthy stays during the summer months. Hotels and other accommodations for entertainment were built to meet the increasing demand of visitors. Everyone came to experience the bath houses known for there mineral baths. The town became famous for its water and hotels. One of which was The Cloyd Hotel, built around 1890 by Henry Cloyd, and is still operating under the name The Thomas House after it was purchased Evelyn Thomas and her husband. Some of the documented haunted activity includes: A whistler in the upstairs hallways is said to be that of original owner Henry Cloyd. His daughter Sarah will move toy objects. She is seen and heard throughout the Hotel but particularly likes room 37. There’s a boy named Billy who drowned in a one time pool on the property and haunts the hotel. There are two stories based on the tragic death of a man while crossing the bridge leading to the property. One story states he had fallen from a horse while crossing the bridge the other that he had left the on time bowling alley after too much drinking, fell and broke his neck . In both cases he died in the mineral springs below. It is said he haunts that area of the bridge he met his tragic ending. There is an apparition of an elderly lady who disappears into the Gift Shop. A man disappears by Al Gore Seniors chair in the front living room. There is an organ making sounds that is not plugged in. And more..
