Also REALLY HARD! One of the toughest tracks I’ve put together in a while. I think that’s simply because I’m trying to do proper service to the vocals. It can be intimidating when you’re working with largely synthetic instruments to try to create a track that doesn’t sound “cheap” coupled with an authentic singing voice. The percussion here in particular took a while to put together, and just to add the human element, I dubbed my own guitar playing pretty deep into the background. (I’m a beginner, so I didn’t want it to take the auditory spotlight here) Between you and me, I did the vast majority of this video the night before last night… from like 11 pm to 5 am. Really really REALLY wanted to have this out on Sunday like my schedule plans for, but Final Cut Pro has developed a glitch where it sometimes create green squares on certain frames of the screen, like for no reason. It’s really, really annoying. But that gave me a chance to clean up a few other things. It’s really nice when you’re having a shitty day and you look on YouTube to find out that folks are understanding of your situation. First time doing a vocal track for the channel and I wanted to make a good first impression. Crush40 and All Ends FTW.
