This short video shows all the steps I take to prepare the Hunky Dory sailboat for sailing. I continue to sail at Lake Baldwin near Orlando Florida. Along the way we will learn about access points and a bit about the wildlife in this beautiful region. About the Boats: The "Little Blue Skiff" is a wooden skiff that I built from a kit purchased from a company in Maryland (Chesapeake Light Craft). Construction, painting, and engine install took about 18 months. The kit model is their "Peeler Skiff". This flat bottom boat is 15 ft long and has a wide beam. The engine is a 15HP 4-stroke mercury which is the max rated engine for the boat and pushes it extremely well - even with its maximum capacity of four people. The "Hunky Dory" is a wooden sailboat that I built over a 5-month period in 2025. It is a kit from the same company as the Little Blue Skiff. The "Hunky Dory" is 17ft with a 60-inch beam and a capacity to hold up to 3 people - but I'll be mostly sailing her solo.
