Offered in the Winter Auction 2025 is this rare and beautifully restored 1944 M5A1 Half-Track, a fully operational World War II armored personnel carrier built by International Harvester for the U.S. Army. This specific vehicle is part of the early M5A1 production run and saw service in the European campaign before being transferred to the French Army after the war. The vehicle underwent a complete Class A restoration using original components and numerous New Old Stock parts. The restoration was carried out with exceptional attention to detail, resulting in a museum-grade example that is both historically correct and fully functional. Recently repainted in Irish Guards colors, this Half-Track took part in several major commemorations, including D-Day 75 and the Victory Show 2025. Mechanically, the vehicle is in excellent condition. It has just received new tracks and sprockets, and it comes with Dutch registration, period-correct canvas and cushions, manuals, and spare parts.
