How to add a PDF to Wordpress Site (2 Easy Solutions)

In this video, you can find two of the best ways to add a PDF file to your website. In the first part of the video we explain how to create a linkable text that opens out PDF file in the browser, and in the second part we use a plugin called Embed Any Document to embed our file on a desired place of our page with a shortcode. In the first part, the only thing that we need is to upload the PDF document in the WordPress media library copy its URL, write some text, select it and add the URL to that text. In WordPress, there are more options for the link so we also can set the link to open the PDF file in a new tab. In the second part of the video we use Embed Any Document plugin created by Awsm Innovations that you can download here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/embed-a.... This plugin creates a new button right after the Media button in the page editor. That new button is called Add Document and works not only for PDF, but also for many other supported file types that you can find in the plugin’s documentation. The button opens a window where we can add our document from the media library or link, change the embed window size, add or disable the download button etc. The button creates a short code that is automatically added in the clicked place. I suggest you to compress your documents before embedding them to WordPress. That way your documents will always load, and not just load, but load faster.
