This gelato is so refreshing and perfect for the summer! Ingredients 3 cups of blackberries 2 cups of milk 4 egg yolks 1 cup sugar 3/4 cup of whipping cream 1 Tbsp Kirsch or any liqueur of your choice (omit if you do not want alcohol) In a food processor, puree all the Blackberries Then pour puree thru fine sieve and separate the seeds from the puree, then set aside In a pot, heat the milk until it is warm In a medium bowl, mix together egg yolks and sugar, mix until it is pale in color Then add milk a little at a time to the egg yolk mixture then you can pour all the milk into the mixture The reason you want to add a little bit of milk to begin because you do not want to scrambled the egg Then once milk all added in to the egg yolk mixture, return the mixture back in the pot and heat to medium heat Until it becomes a thick custard Take it off the heat and pour into a bowl leave it to cool for 10 mins then add the blackberry puree Add whipping cream and Kirsch if you are using mix altogether then leave it in the fridge to completely cool Then put the cooled mixture into ice cream machine (follow your ice cream machine instructions) Until gelato is set to your desire consistency, eat immediately or if you like you can put it into container and freeze until serve
