In today's tutorial, I'll be guiding you through the process of shrinking your Windows partition to free up space for another partition. No need for external programs – everything can be done using Windows tools. Steps: 0:00 Open Disk Management by searching in the Windows search bar. 0:17 Right-click on your Windows partition and select "Shrink." If you encounter the issue of having zero megabytes available, follow these simple steps to resolve it. Additional Steps: 0:30 Disable system protection to allow for movable files. 0:53 Perform disk cleanup to delete unnecessary and unmovable files. 2:20 Disable system failure debugging information. 2:46 Turn off hibernation using the command prompt. 3:12 Remove the page file (virtual memory). 3:40 Reboot your computer. Final Shrink Process: Right-click on your Windows partition again. 3:45 Click on "Shrink" to successfully create unallocated space. 4:00 If needed, defragment your disk to optimize space. 4:25 Shrink the partition based on your desired size (remember 1,024 megabytes = 1 gigabyte). Allocate the unallocated space for different partitions. Please note that these steps may take some time, so be patient.
