They use digital technology to engage young people within their community. By enabling children to use tools they are already experts in, such as video games, they can collaboratively and confidently express their opinions about their local towns and cities. These ideas can then be translated into various forms adults can understand, such as architectural models. Megan grew up in the U.A.E where very few people had the power to make a difference. She then moved back to England, where she witnessed apathy amongst her peers. She believes that by giving young people the opportunity to voice their ideas and be heard they could then grow up with the confidence to make a difference in their community. They now run workshops with children all across the U.K, targeting redevelopment sites whilst also focusing on local environmental issues. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx
