🌞 Indoor Cycling Video🌞 Ciclovia Alpe Adria Radweg Europe's Greatest Cycle Path - Part 9 Arnoldstein to Tarvisio Ciclovia Alpe Adria Radweg - Alpe Adria Cycle Trail - Indoor Cycling Workout. Without telemetry. Stage 9 - Arnoldstein to Tarvisio 22.7 km 39 minutes - 220m ascent - 40m descent. Starting from Arnoldstein the Alpe Adria cycle path shares the R3C: Tarvis Radweg. As we leave Arnoldstein, we cross the Gailitz river and continue through the Carinthian border towns of Maglern and Thörl. At Thörl, we cross over the border and into Italy, where the path moves away from the road and into mountainside woodland. After travelling through the town of Coccau, the trail then joins the ex-railway line route and enjoys some truly terrific mountain scenery. It is an absolutely joyous section of the trail as we travel along the dedicated cycle path, past the furnishings of the old railway line, past stations, gantries and bridges. Finally we arrive at our destination, the beautiful town of Tarvisio. Alpe Adria Cycle Trail: The route leads from the historic city of Salzburg to the beautiful resort town of Grado on the Italian Adriatic covering approximately 410 kilometres. Along the way, you cycle through the splendour of the Austrian Alps and past Hohenwerfen Castle (which featured in the films 'Where Eagles Dare' and 'The Sound of Music'). You also travel through the wonderful Austrian county of Carinthia, renowned for its sunshine, crystal-clear drinking quality lakes and rugged mountains. From Carinthia, the route crosses the Italian border joining a remarkable ex-railway line through the beautiful Tarvisio, through repurposed railway tunnels and over dedicated bridges that once ferried many rail passengers through the Italian Alps. The route then moves through the Friuli wine region and into the lovely city of Udine before finally venturing out to the Adriatic coast and the charming coastal resort town of Grado.
