The terrain of the route was a combination of narrow country road and country lane sections; clear broad tracks; some rough paths including a section along the shoreline just above the high-tide mark, and a vague rocky, waterlogged path across deteriorating ground; plus a good moorland path. The walking was a combination of easy level ground, some moderate undulating ground plus one steep short descent and one long moderate ascent. Route finding was easy with obvious paths, good waymarking and good landmarks, except for the vague rocky, waterlogged path across deteriorating ground. There were just 2 stiles to negotiate.
