There are three types of treatment options for Hemangioma. One is medical, next is surgical and the third is laser option. In medical options, newer drugs like propranolol are indicated as the first line treatment for hemangiomas. Sometimes in extensive Hemangiomas, we may need to give oral steroid medications for few days or few weeks. In case of large hemangiomas which don’t regress, conventional surgery has to be done to remove the hemangiomas. Certain lasers available which attack the red colour or the hemoglobin to treat hemangiomas like port wine stain or strawberry hemangiomas which do not regress. strawberry hemangiomas actually do not require any treatment because it usually regresses in a few month’s time. So the treatment of that is called as masterline activity for strawberry hemangiomas.
