Em 7 de abril de 2017, Tupac Shakur finalmente foi incluído no Hall da Fama do Rock and Roll, se tornando o primeiro rapper solo a realizar tal feito e fazer parte dos então únicos artistas de Hip-Hop no Hall da Fama do Rock and Roll, junto com o N.W.A, Public Enemy, Run D.M.C. e Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five. Na cerimônia de sua indução houve um medley de suas músicas mais clássicas cantados por Alicia Keys e os rappers Snoop Dogg, YG e T.I. Houve discursos de ambos os artistas, sendo o de Snoop Dogg, seu antigo amigo e parceiro de gravadora, que o introduziu no Hall da Fama do Rock and Roll.
