17 Times The Simpsons Predicted the Future

Do The Simpsons writers have a crystal ball or something? Most of us have heard the jokes about The Simpsons predicting the future and writing storylines that end up happening in real life. If you haven’t heard of this, boy are you in for a wild ride. When we really look at all of the things this series seemed to know about before they happened, we’re getting shivers down our spines. Sure – some of these things could have been educated guesses or even coincidences, but back to back to back, this seems almost too coincidental. Not only did The Simpsons very accurately predict little things like Lady Gaga’s Superbowl halftime performance, the invention of FaceTime, and that infamous Game of Thrones ending, but they also seemed to know about some things that we could have used a heads up about. Did you know that they ran storylines about the US Ebola outbreak, Covid, and even a Donald Trump presidency years ahead of time? Yeah – we definitely should have benefited from some of those warnings. In fact, after watching this video, you may want to start watching The Simpsons through a different lens – things that seem like normal comedic storylines just might be prophecies that will show us what to expect in the future. It’s happened many times before, so we certainly have a feeling that it’s going to happen again. Are we the only ones who are a little scared to watch now?
