Fishing Ely, Nevada( Cave lake & Comins Lake)

I ventured out to central Nevada to fish two fisheries here in the desert. Cave lake which has been closed for nearly 6 years was filled with an abundance of trout most ranging 10-15 inches. With a beautiful scenery Cave lake is definitely one to cherish with your family. The bite was good and although I forgot to record I ended up catching 6 trout while there. Cummins lake was a challenge this time of year. The weeds were still grown out and made casting lures a chore to clean off with every other cast. However I still managed to land two rainbows that were roughly 15 inches. With reports being some in the 20 inch range I was a little disappointed. Like they say, a bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work. Ely itself was a comforting town. It was small and even though I didn’t explore much I got to feel the essence of the town through the motel and Hotel Nevada. @sincityoutdoors goes more into depth about the town and I refer you to their video if you want more of an insight.
