Benchmark indices closed on a weaker note. The Nifty fell 365 points to end at the 25,454 mark, while the Sensex declined 1,236 points to close at 82,498. All sectoral indices ended in the red, with Auto, Capital Goods, Realty, Power, Consumer Durables and Media down nearly 2% each. The Nifty Midcap index shed 1.6%, while the Smallcap index fell 1.3%. Among the biggest Nifty losers were InterGlobe Aviation, M&M, Bharat Electronics, UltraTech Cement and Trent. Gainers included Dr Reddy's Laboratories, ONGC, HDFC Life and Hindalco Industries.
