Tech professionals are now championing traditional badminton in Bengaluru. The city, which already had a history in badminton now has more than 10,000 courts. Nearly 1.25 lakh people use the arenas monthly, a 12-fold increase from five years ago, according to sports booking platform Playo. Securing an hour of play is now a competition in itself, requiring bookings a day in advance.
