The rare disease community faces numerous barriers in accessing treatment, making the need for coordination between the healthcare system and pharmaceutical industry ever so poignant in creating meaningful change for these patients. This important topic was discussed by an expert panel in this RARE-Rev-inar, featuring Kylie Bromley, General Manager of Biogen UK, Sheela Upadhyaya, expert in HTA and rare disease policy, Dr Charlotte Roy, advocate for Muscular Dystrophy UK, and Nico Reynders, General Manager at UCB UK & Ireland. The panel kicks off the webinar with a conversation about the necessity of different organisations bringing together their strengths, to align on and achieve joint goals for the rare disease community in the UK. This is an excerpt from the RARE REV-inar organised by RARE Revolution Magazine: ‘Strengthening coordination between the health system and industry to improve patient access’. This webinar was funded by UCB UK&I. The content has been reviewed for accuracy and compliance with industry standards. #UCBUK #UCBIreland #UCBinRareDisease #webinar #RareRevinar
