SAPLING by Tree Drums and Vocals: Early-Rae Caruso Guitar: William Bauer Bass: Carson Kaskel A note on the video: "This video was filmed on 8mm and color coded in 1956, by my great-grandmother, Rose Bauer, in Montgomery, MN. These are excepts from her vacation to Hawaii in the mid-50s, along with some re-recordings she made of what would have been promotional film depicting pineapple production to scale at that time. She and my great-grandfather, Milton Bauer Sr., make a couple fleeting appearances, but I wanted to focus on the random objects and environments she filmed, what Rose was actually interested in not only filming, but preserving for over 70 years. There is beauty and madness that occurs naturally when you film over something that has already been filmed--a forgotten sensation. Every Tree, like every Family, was once a SAPLING." ~Bauer
