In addition to being born and bred on post- punk, she also considers 90s IDM and 80s pop as her other biggest musical influences. After finishing degrees in philosophy and theology, Surfer Rosa relocated to Bogotá in 2012. There, she became involved in the underground music scene, regularly playing at goth and David Lynch themed parties.
