In this video, we go into depth into Bluetti's UPS mode settings and using those modes to control both AC and solar. We show multiple controlled experiments to demonstrate what each mode does then go into why someone would choose to use one mode or another. Units covered in this video would be Bluetti AC200L, Bluetti AC300, Bluetti AC500, Bluetti EP500Pro, Bluetti EP600, Bluetti EP760, Bluetti EP800, Bluetti EP900 There may be more units released in the future with similar modes. This information was derived both from conversations with Bluetti Engineering and old fashioned reverse engineering. We both describe and show the processes used to make the experiments repeatable if you'd like to try them yourself. I am not an authoritative source for Bluetti documentation and I can not guarantee these modes will not change in the future. Here is the timeline: 00:00 - Introduction 02:18 - Understanding charging rates and the modes of charging 06:50 - Global amp limiter 11:07 - Standard UPS Mode 12:09 - Use cases of Standard UPS mode 15:31 - Standard UPS Mode, Load higher than amp limiter 18:27 - Standard UPS Mode in a nutshell 19:22 - PV Priority UPS Mode 20:43 - PV Priority Mode / SOC Setting 25:47 - PV Priority Edge Cases 27:36 - PV Priority Mode in a nutshell 25:56 - Self-Consumption Mode (EP600/760/800/900) 29:25 - Time Control UPS Mode 31:47 - Offpeak Time / SOC High 33:03 - Peak Time / SOC Low 37:55 - Time Of Use Mode (EP600/760/800/900) 39:27 - Time Control UPS Mode in a nutshell 40:47 - Custom UPS Mode 43:27 - Charge from Grid Mode Switch 45:44 - Custom Mode in a nutshell 46:29 - Conclusion As always, I do not make any money off my solar generator work. I am not paid to make this, nor does Bluetti get any control over the content. Some (not all) of the units in this video were provided for the purpose of making these videos.
