Canon EOS R5 10Bit HQ Fine 4K Lowlight Video Test (RF 85mm f/1.2 USM lens) This is the part 2 of the Canon R5 low light video test. Originally I was gonna do the 4K 120p video first. But then I realize not many people talk about the R5 lowlight performance. And I’m curious about the high ISO performance too. So I decided to do this video first. So the R5 uses a 45Megapixel sensor. In theory the lowlight should be bad. But it turns out the lowlight performance was not bad at all. Its actually pretty decent. And of-course I used the RF 85mm f/1.2 lens to keep my ISO low. But upto ISO 8000, it was still very clean. (I did not apply any de-noise filters). Also one thing I was really surprised, the quality of the 10Bit 422 DCI 4K HQ Fine was that nice. It was really sharp and detail. Thanks to the 8K sensor. And I think this mode I will be using it a lot. Note: During this test, I didn’t have any overheating issue either. Like I said from my last video. Australia is in winter right now. So the camera was working fine. The heat icon didn’t even pop up. Also this video was shot on a 300mb/s SanDisk SDXC card. And the camera was on DCI 4K 10Bit 4:2:2 All-I 470Mbps. And it worked just fine.
