Ansonia Copper & Brass 3rd Alarm (Ansonia, CT) 2/2/24 ANSONIA, CT - At approximately 5:00pm on February 2, 2024, the Ansonia Fire Department was dispatched to a reported vacant building fire at Liberty Street and 3rd Street. First companies on scene found the old vacant Ansonia Copper and Brass building with heavy fire showing from the windows. The fire quickly escalated to a 2nd, followed by a 3rd alarm in the structure that was built in 1800. Mutual aid responded from several local towns to help battle the blaze. The fire is now deemed arson and authorities are looking for any information the public may have on the fire. DEEP also responded to the scene.
