happy birthday to me!! ✨ (long caption ahead, uh-oh) now, I want to apologize in advance to my japanese fans: as much as I tried to understand the context & do my research, I mainly used official translation Ado gave us to create my english version. So there might be some mistakes, but I tried my best to pay tribute to Ado's amazing work! I interpreted this song is a goodbye letter from a mother who had to let go of her child for the kid to live a better life, so she gives advice and hopes her baby will endure all the hardships and build their new home with love and kindness in their heart. I started working on the translation the day after the original MV premiered, and all this time was trying to find the best words & practice my vocals so I can give justice to this awesome song.
