SHAMANIC BREATHING - Session 1: Your divine Essence

Shamanic Breathing is one of the offerings from 'The White Arrow' that focuses on rebirthing or transformational breathing. This technique aims to connect with your life energy through a simple method, linking inhalation and exhalation in a continuous, relaxed rhythm. The goal is to release blockages in the breath, enabling a natural and full breathing pattern. We present this technique under 'SHAMANIC BREATHING,' incorporating a personal approach and intention. WHY SHAMANIC? As curandero(a)s in the South American tradition, we have over 25 years of experience in shamanism, making it our natural environment. We use shamanic sounds and healing techniques like icaros singing, bodywork, live music, or carefully curated playlists and music mixes to guide the process. This one-hour audio-video mix is designed to accompany you during a personal breathing session. Each mix has its own unique character, intention, and name, allowing you to choose the music style that suits your mood at any given moment. Some mixes feature 3 to 4 songs layered together to create the desired effect, resulting in a beautifully crafted blend that has been carefully tested to ensure the perfect buildup and depth for a Shamanic breathing session. Unlike Spotify playlists, where songs play one after another, these mixes offer a seamless experience. For an optimal experience, set a 12-second fade transition in your Spotify playlist settings to ensure smooth transitions between songs. If you’re new to breathing sessions, we recommend first reading the instructions on one of our websites: www.shamanicbreathing.be or www.thewhitearrow.org, or at least the brief guide below: SHORT INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Ensure you won’t be disturbed for at least an hour. 2. Wear comfortable clothes and lie flat on your back. 3. Warm up by pumping air into your stomach and then your chest a few times. 4. Perform all inhalations and exhalations through your mouth. 5. Inhale for 3 to 4 seconds, then at your peak... 6. Let the air flow out naturally, and at your lowest point... 7. Inhale again for 3 to 4 seconds. 8. Maintain a steady breathing rhythm. 9. Avoid pauses between inhaling and exhaling. 10. Don’t forget to smile! EXTRA INFO & TIPS: After 5 or 10 minutes, breathing may become more challenging, and you might occasionally drift off into a soothing sense of nothingness. While this can feel peaceful, it’s best to postpone this until the session’s end. It’s common for your hands, arms, and feet to cramp or stiffen. Don’t worry—this will pass. Just keep breathing. This technique may bring up old or current physical and emotional aches. Stay with the pain, focusing your breath on the affected area. Be present with it and resist the urge to escape. Aim to breathe like this for at least 15 to 20 minutes. Eventually, your respiratory system will take over naturally, requiring less conscious effort, that's when 'activation' takes place. If you feel yourself falling asleep or having trouble maintaining a steady rhythm of breathing, try exhaling with more force, like making a strong sigh to push the air out. This can help bring the effects of breathing to your body more quickly. However, if you're breathing strongly, don't rush en don't go to fast—breathe in for three seconds and then puff the air out. At this stage, true healing begins. Old memories, transformations, and insights may surface—just let them flow. It can be liberating to vocalize during exhalation, allowing your voice to guide the experience. Massage your abdomen deeply with each exhale, especially during morning sessions. Techniques like these are covered in our Breathing Coach training. Towards the end, move your mouth into a smile. Let this simple gesture brighten your entire being. Placing your hands in a prayer position with a smile fosters compassion and shifts your perspective.
