Many users are afraid to update firmware. If it's not broken, why fix it? There are some compelling reasons. Marlin is developed at an astonishing rate, with new features being added and bugs being squashed. Add to this the safety measures that might have been left out by your printer manufacturer.. Updating firmware is quite easy, and not particularly risky. Simply download the Arduino IDE, open your Marlin sketch, select a COM port and hit a button.
